The New Apple 128 GB iPad
Apple 128 GB iPad Review
Advancement in digitalization has gone hand in hand with a requirement for extra storage space. Apple has announced its new iPad with 128 gigabytes of storage, in a bid to what? Set a record, compete? Apple knows nobody is so storage hungry for a tablet. Even those who have gold lego and bags of money driving a hole in an Armani suit will not be driven to pick up one of these. Tablets are usually used for media purposes, playing games and like an e-reader. Sure the 128 gigs will take on your ever increasing photo and video library, but seriously, in a tablet? Consider what more you can buy in today’s world of hybrids!
128 Gigabytes roughly translates to at least a hundred DVD movies, about 30 Blu-ray movies, 30,000 or more songs and 40,000 photos as assessed by a source. So storage is the point of difference between this and the other fourth generation iPads. This new device also comes with the same 9.7-inch Retina display, a dual-core A6X processor, a FaceTime HD camera, 2 gigabytes worth of RAM and super fast wireless connectivity. The iOS 6.1 also has support for LTE networks to 36 additional iPad carriers across the globe. The 128 gig iPad can clock about 10 hours of battery time on a single charge.
It is only natural to think that the target of the new 128GB iPad is for professionals, like lawyers, engineers, architects, and doctors who need a large amount of portable space for reference and documentation. We gather this also from the words of a representative from Apple who said, “Companies regularly utilize heavy data like film edits, X-rays, 3D CAD files, project blueprints, music tracks, service manuals and training videos will all benefit from having a greater choice of storage options for Apple iPad,” The Company claims to have sold more than 20 million iPads to date and almost 300 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running on iOS 6 in under five months.
